Beginning the journey…

Two weeks have passed since Quincy’s accident.  We continue to trust in God’s plan.  Quincy is getting excellent care and continues to improve.  He is aware that he will not be walking for awhile.

Saturday and Sunday he had good days.  Put in a lot of work with PT.  The therapist said she’s done her job for 20+ years and he’s done better than anyone she’s had.  Quincy informed the therapist that he wasn’t a sissy and he would do more than she thought he would.

A combination of overdoing therapy on Sunday and the air mattress getting unplugged during the night made for a pain filled Monday.

Tuesday was better.  He’s eating solid foods and has a good appetite.  Told the therapist he wants to be the BEST!  Occupational therapy was a time of facing some truth.

Wednesday afternoon Quincy got in and out of the chair with minimal help.  He took a ride around his floor and visited Stan in the waiting room.  He has set goals and is working hard.  His spirits are good and he has great focus moving forward.

As we begin this journey, we ask for your continued prayers.  Matthew 19:26
